1.3 Core Principles (Trustless, Secure, Decentralized)

1. Decentralized

Reticula removes the need for centralized servers or databases to verify purchase entitlements. By issuing SBTs as certificates, access rights are moved directly onto the blockchain. This ensures that access rights are immutable and not subject to the downtime or censorship of a single entity.

2. Trustless

The system eliminates the need for API hosts to trust the agent's claim of payment. When an agent presents its SBT, the provider only verifies the SBT's existence on-chain and its expiration status. This verification is cryptographic and immediate. The SBT is also non-transferable, preventing the fraudulent sale or sharing of access rights.

3. Secure

Reticula prevents leakage or unauthorized distribution of access rights. Because the certificate is a non-transferable SBT, it remains cryptographically bound to the paying agent's wallet, providing maximum security for the revenue streams of service providers.
